Dr Sandy Johnson has been researching skin care products since 1997 during her residency. She has been on the front lines giving her opinions in both the scientific literature as well as the lay press including being quoted in Allure, Prevention, and Shape. She believes in offering the highest quality ingredients at a reasonable price. The team at Johnson Dermatology focuses on skin care education. We believe that it is the ingredients that matter when it comes to skin care and not the name on the label. That is why we work with a variety of skin care vendors to provide the best products for us, our family, our friends and our patients. Dr Sandy has used skin care products from Topix Pharmaceuticals on her own skin since 2004. Their retinol is optimal for reversing damage since it is combined with green tea for anti-oxidization, caffeine to keep redness at bay and hyaluronic acid for moisturization. She also daily uses the Colorscience SPF brush for sun protection for her and her children. Many people on our team love the results of minimizing discoloration that they achieve with the NIA 24 system. We offer products from Pharmaceutical Specialties, Inc for patients who cannot tolerate or want to tolerate the common chemical ingredients found in many available skin care products. We recommend these products especially for people with eczema, allergies, or inflamed skin. We pride ourselves in offering products that have proven ingredients and have been tested in the scientific community as well as by the team in our clinic. If a product does not pass our tests, we will not recommend it. You may be assured you are buying products that we feel comfortable putting on our own skin. In general, Dr. Sandy advises everyone to use smart sun protection during the day and a topical retinol at night.
We offer two extensive lines of colored cosmetics tailored for every person. Both Colorscience and Jane Iredale are well respected companies that specialize in colored cosmetics containing the highest level ingredients.
We offer a variety of specialty products to fit every need. We carry the Clarisonic PRO Skin Brush as described by Dr. Sandy in Women's Health magazine during the Summer of 2008. We also offer The Clarisonic Opal to minimize fine lines. Our team is trained in the proper use of these products. You can even schedule a facial that incorporates these devices.
